Blue Shock Race is proud to relaunch the Baltic Electric Karting League with the introduction of the powerful BSR-X5 class. Combining cutting-edge electric technology, affordable racing, and a clear pathway to international championships, the league offers young talents and experienced drivers an exciting opportunity to compete, develop their skills, and become part of the future of electric motorsport.

A New Era of Electric Karting in the Baltics

In June 2026, Blue Shock Race officially launched the new BSR-X5 category as part of the renewed Baltic Electric Karting League. Designed for drivers aged 14 and above, the BSR-X5 class delivers an exciting combination of performance, accessibility, and modern racing technology.

Powered by the latest Blue Shock Race electric drivetrain, the BSR-X5 kart produces 33 kW (44 hp) and an impressive 119 Nm of instant torque, creating one of the most exciting electric karting experiences available today.

The class has been created for ambitious young talents looking to begin their motorsport journey, while also welcoming experienced racers who simply want to enjoy powerful, competitive racing without the complexity and cost of traditional combustion-engine karting.

To ensure fair competition, the championship is divided into two categories:

BSR-X5 PRO – for lighter, highly competitive drivers and future talents.
BSR-X5 OPEN – featuring additional ballast, allowing a broader range of drivers to compete on equal terms.

This format creates exciting racing while making the championship accessible to more participants.

The Return of the Baltic Electric Karting League

Blue Shock Race originally organized the Baltic Electric Karting Championship together with the LMT Motorsport Academy between 2018 and 2021. During that period, the series became one of Europe’s first national electric karting championships.

Like many sporting events worldwide, the championship was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic. During those years, Blue Shock Race focused on expanding into larger international markets where electric karting was developing more rapidly and aligned strategically with the company’s global growth.

Now, in 2026, the championship returns with a renewed vision.

Its mission is to accelerate the development of electric karting across the Baltic region while providing affordable, high-quality racing powered by the latest technology. Instead of spending countless hours rebuilding engines, drivers can focus on what matters most—driving, improving their skills, and enjoying close, exciting competition at a reasonable cost.

An Affordable Way to Own Your Own Race Kart

Drivers can currently compete using their own BSR-X5 race kart, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to participate throughout an entire season.

To make ownership even more accessible, Blue Shock Race has introduced a special support program for competitors purchasing a BSR-X5 kart for the Baltic Electric Karting League.

The Baltic Championship also forms part of the wider European Electric Karting League development program. Beginning in 2027, the full European championship calendar is planned to include more than six participating countries, creating stronger international competition and giving drivers significantly more racing opportunities throughout Europe.

Race for the Opportunity to Compete in Daytona, USA

Every championship within the Blue Shock Race ecosystem offers drivers the opportunity to qualify for some of the world’s most exciting electric karting events.

The ultimate goal is to earn a place at the prestigious Daytona event in the United States, where around 1,000 competitors compete across multiple racing categories.

Held inside the legendary Daytona International Speedway, home of the famous Daytona 500, the event gives young drivers the opportunity to compete at one of the world’s most iconic motorsport venues.

For many racers, standing on the grid at Daytona is a dream—and the Baltic Electric Karting League provides one pathway to make that dream a reality.

Building the Future of Modern Karting

The Baltic Electric Karting League is only the beginning.

Blue Shock Race is creating a complete international platform designed to make karting more accessible, more affordable, and more exciting for the next generation of drivers.

The vision goes beyond simply organizing races. The goal is to transform karting into a complete experience—combining competition, technology, entertainment, community, and unforgettable moments on and off the track.

By lowering the cost of valuable seat time while maintaining high-performance racing, more drivers can discover and develop their talent. Those who demonstrate exceptional ability will have opportunities to continue progressing through national, European, and international championships.
