The American Electric Kart League is part of the WKA system and features exciting races with BSR electric karts in the BSR-X4 class.
Championship showcases the newest electric kart technology and aims to attract new fans to motorsports with a modern and thrilling experience.
Exhibition races showcase the power and features of BSR X4 and X5 electric karts. See how they are operated, charged, and maintained. These events aim to educate and highlight cutting-edge technology.
American Electric Kart League starts with the Daytona event on December 27, 2024, kicking off the first race of the 2025 season. Participants can choose from the Arrive and Drive program or buy their BSR Electric Kart to compete for the USA champion title.

Chad Stoughton #88
I’ve run Europros in Kansas for years, servicing European cars. Four years ago, I decided to build my electric kart to enjoy motorsports affordably on weekends.
After two years and much effort, I didn’t achieve the desired results. Searching online, I found BSR, known for powerful electric kart tech. I bought their system and was amazed by its race-ready performance.
BSR needed US partners for technical support. I volunteered, and our collaboration grew. I eventually became an investor and their US distributor, helping customers get BSR power units and providing support.
I love track adrenaline and am thrilled about the US championship with WKA. It’s a chance to meet other hobby drivers and compete.

I’m George Schwieters, a mechanic and entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for racing. My journey began with sim racing games and evolved into real-life experiences in drag racing, autocross, road racing, and karting. I also led the electronics team for the Formula SAE team, Illini Motorsports, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
I am excited about the American Electric Kart League because it offers me the chance to get involved in competitive karting. This will help me understand the nuances of karting competitions for my business and fulfill my dream of racing at a competitive level.

I am Ronon Gitman, and I started Karting back in 2020, right after COVID-19 set in inside the US. Karting was really the only thing you could go out and do, and I started going to K1 Speed. After a bit of racing there Electric Karts I started racing in their leagues. I recently went out to compete in K1’s E-Pro US Championship out in southern California. We found out about Blue Shock Racing’s karts online and that’s when I knew that I wanted to try getting into one. Being a 13 year old from Indiana, when I saw that they were going to have a race at Whiteland and then at Daytona during Kart Week, I got really excited and instantly knew I wanted to do it. I am really excited to try driving these karts for the first time at Whiteland Raceway Park in October.

BSR-X4 TEST DAY
Maris has spent almost his entire life in the US. He has a significant career in motorsports, helping to organize teams, manage equipment, and enjoy the capabilities of various race cars on the track.
He arrived in Europe to visit the BSR factory and to test the BSR-X4 and X5 Electric Race go-karts, which will be used to kick off the American Electric Kart League.
