For the first time in America, a high-performance electric karting championship will take place in 2024, featuring two demo events in Whiteland, Indianapolis, and Jacksonville, Florida. The grand start for the full championship will be held at the legendary Daytona track. Are you ready to make history?

Who Can Participate?

Anyone aged 14 and older can enter the championship, with specific exceptions for those younger than 14 (please contact the BSR team for details). To participate, you need either a BSR racing Power Unit BSR-X4 (BSR-X5 is also acceptable) or a fully prepared BSR racing kart. If you don’t have either, you can join the “Arrive and Drive” program, where you can rent a complete race kart package for the weekend, provided you bring your personal safety gear. Personal Equipment

We’ve prepared a short VIDEO on how to get ready for the championship. Additionally, we’ve included some links from our partners that might be useful for purchasing personal equipment and other needs.

Demo Events and Championship

We have planned two demo events in Whiteland, Indianapolis, and Jacksonville, Florida. These demo events will have a limited number of participants and a simplified format. The goal is to introduce participants to the championship organization, electric karting, charging procedures, technical regulations, and other processes. These will serve as general practice sessions before the championship. All participants will compete as usual but will not earn championship points.

Prizes and Winners

We have prepared several surprises, and there will definitely be awards. However, during these demo events, we are not focusing on monetary prizes. This is a historic event, and we want people to be motivated by a higher purpose: being part of a milestone in history that can’t be bought. We aim to celebrate each participant and showcase how technology is evolving and the rapid progress in electric karting, offering unforgettable experiences. But, we can hint that there will be very special prizes.

Can I Film the Event?

Yes, anyone can film the event, including mounting cameras on the karts, in accordance with WKA regulations (read more on the WKA website). We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the rules in detail, as there are many safety aspects that are not allowed. We know everyone wants great footage, but safety is paramount. Both BSR and WKA will prioritize safety, so please be prepared and respect these guidelines.

Practice Sessions.

With one kart, you can have 6-10 practice sessions per day, each lasting 10 minutes. This is thanks to the Quick Swap Battery System, which allows as many practice sessions as traditional gas karts. Batteries are charged either from the track’s power source or, if unavailable, from an electric vehicle. One electric vehicle can charge up to 6 powerful BSR-X4 and X5 karts simultaneously, making the technology highly mobile and allowing electric karts to compete even on tracks without electricity.
