The world of electric karting is shifting into a new gear.
OTL Electro Kart — one of the world’s earliest and most respected electric kart manufacturers — and its global distributor Kart1 have signed a long-term strategic partnership with Blue Shock Race (BSR), a rapidly growing European electric Power Unit technology company.

Under this collaboration, Blue Shock Race will provide its high-performance electric Power Unit systems for OTL’s new generation of racing karts and future product lines. This alliance ensures that OTL, Kart1, and their extensive network of clients — including the world-renowned K1 Speed franchise — will now have access to BSR-powered electric race karts across global markets.

Blue Shock Race, based in Latvia and founded in 2014, has become one of Europe’s leading innovators in high-performance electric propulsion systems for karting, motorsport, and emerging dual-use technology sectors. In recent years, BSR has powered international programs, including the American Electric Karting League and the Japan Electric Karting Championship, showcasing scalable, reliable, and competitive e-motorsport technology.

At the top level, the American Electric Karting League (AEKL) — operated by BSR — will serve as the ultimate performance platform, where the strongest drivers from arrive-and-drive leagues can advance into professional-grade racing teams. This model creates a unified pathway for talent growth and technological advancement under a single, globally recognized standard.

This is more than a technology partnership — it’s a shared mission to accelerate the growth of global electric karting championships under a consistent, regulated, and scalable framework.
By aligning OTL’s manufacturing excellence, Kart1’s worldwide distribution infrastructure, and BSR’s race-proven electric propulsion systems, the partnership sets the foundation for the next decade of growth in e-motorsport.
